Nintendo logos by Dan Patrick and David Pustansky. Overlay config created with the RetroPad editor by Valent-in. Special thanks to Reddit user Kuroiryuu for the dark theme idea, and help in color and font optimizations. I assume in the video, they just swapped out the images that Nintendo includes in their existing borders. The SNES Classic Edition offers a number of visual options to make your favorite retro games even. The ambient glow border shader samples the average color over time, and it would be possible to use that data to modify the color in an image, as well, though nothing like that exists at the moment.

Set Show Inputs on Overlay to: Physical(Controller) Here are our favorite custom SNES Classic borders. Set the "AUTO SCALE OVERLAY" option to ON in non wide displays.(square displays like crt tv's, vga monitors, lcd panels, etc.) Otherwise you'll get displaced controls.

SNES Mini Borders adapted for use in RetroArch. These custom console themed overlays for Retroarch were assembled and designed to look they way they do by me, Orionsangel. use the video settings above depending on which aspect ratio you want to use. The integer scale files are ripped directly from the SNES Mini with no modifications. Make sure your device fully power-off, you should remove power cable, then plug your USB to second port or use OTG cable then plug into power socket. Format your USB to exFat or FAT32 and rename as SONY. Otherwise set the video scaling manually to fityour device display. Integer Scale - Use these when applying an overlay to an integer scaled image. Installation may sound complicated but its not. Also, I like to earn RetroAchievements in my games, and those require using Retroarch instead of Canoe (as well as a wifi connection). But sometimes you just need to use a Retroarch core because otherwise a game wont function. Set the screen scaling to 4:3 in a 16.9 display to get a fullscreenperfect overlay fit. I do prefer using Canoe as much as possible on my SNES Mini for the reasons mentioned by TedizEverywhere. Can anybody provide me steps to correct this. Now I can only navigate the main menus of the game folders but when I enter into any game that Ive downloaded none of the controls will work except when I push down and select to return to the menu. Use Vulkan or any Open GL driver (DirectX drivers are buggy withanimated overlays) Ok so I did something while I was in the retroarch menu on my snes classic. In-screen bezel removed (won't interfere with shaders) No more black empty sides on ultra wide displays.(set the "AUTO SCALE OVERLAY" option to ON for non wide displays).
